Investigation

 After reviewing our evidence during our first overnight investigation at this private home in Cranberry Township, PA we knew we had to return. Even though we were unsure of our findings during the initial investigation, after we had ample opportunity to dig into our recordings and videos, we managed to capture recordings and videos of apparent paranormal activity. We had even captured a predominant name of Naomi that continued to pop up during their continued ancestral research.

Most recently, during more research finding murder-suicides and tragedies in her family tree, Kara reached back out to us with some video of cabinet doors apparently closing, light anomalies appearing all throughout the apartment, and multiple televisions and electronics malfunctioning, even turning on and off on their own.

Instead of once again digging back into the past between their living situations and the history of the property, we decided to take another approach and interview Colby (left), Rachel (middle), and Kara (right), and let them explain the past and their paranormal experiences.

Even though we didn’t get as lucky as last time and had to park further back, the weather held up a lot better for us, so we didn’t have much to worry about lugging in all of our equipment. We did not need a walk through but as our in-house medium, Cindy, arrived she received a walk through while we set up our cameras and began to check for electrical anomalies throughout the residence.

 

 

The investigation began around 8:00 PM and lasted until about 12:30 AM. We utilized most of our equipment during this investigation which included the K2 meter, an SB7 spirit box, two stationary cameras, an Ovilus, a Rempod, a recorder, the FLIR thermal camera, EMF Pump, IR lights, and the residents’’ home security camera even though there was an odd malfunction during our time there (more on that later). With the limited time and size, we did not utilize the SLS Camera, laser grid pen, light up balloons, or the plasma ball.

The most activity we recorded throughout the evening was Phasma Box communication in the Kitchen, Living Room, and the Bedroom, Spirit Box communication in the Hallway, and some thermal photographs utilizing the FLIR infrared camera in the Bedroom and the Living Room. We also recorded some odd noises such as tapping and shuffling feet through the stationary cameras echoing seemingly from the Hallway. One particularly significant experience occurred While Cindy took her walkthrough. We conducted a quick EVP session in the Kitchen and actually recorded the name “Naomi” which we could only hear after we played back the recorder.

 

 

Below are our recordings, videos, and pictures from our investigation of this private apartment residence. The locations are marked with what we believe we received as communication and unnatural sounds.  After you listen to the recordings and watch some of the videos, please give us your thoughts and opinions.

Kitchen

This room is one of the particular areas that drew us back to the residence. There was a video clip they had saved of a cabinet being slammed and strange whispering noises echoing from this area. Upon walking through the living quarters, our medium immediately pinpointed this spot as a hot spot.

Before we even began our investigation, as the residents were giving a tour to Cindy, we recorded a simple EVP session and started our evening off with a figurative bang in the form of the name “Naomi” coming through quite clearly yet softly. We were drawn away from the area after another failed EVP session, but did return to receive a little more communication.

• After we asked whoever was with us to tell us their name, we heard what sounded like “Jackson” at 3:51.
• We asked why they are here, and at 6:30, we heard “Find out.”
• With some frustration with a lack of communication, we heard a phrase of “It means they’re still here” at 8:09. There was nothing to prompt this response per se, but we were getting audibly frustrated and it’s possible that something could sense that.
• If you want some comedic relief, around 8:13, we heard some odd noises and attempted to spell it…not in any known language.

• We left this camera run as we made our way to the back of the Hallway and Bedroom.
• At 7:33, there was an odd shuffling noise as if someone was walking in front of the camera.
• There was a pounding noise at 8:29, also unaccounted for and unheard while we were in the back Bedroom.

Living Room

Originally, the Living Room was where the majority of the residents’ security camera captured light anomalies and voices. During our first investigation, this was where we captured some communication and names through the Spirit Box. Most recently, the television here turned off as Colby was alone in the house. The trio has also noticed their cats being drawn to this area in the middle of the night on occasion, while the cats normally sleep through the night on their beds.

 

 

After our two Kitchen EVP sessions, we were drawn to the Living Room and had everyone gather round. Here, we utilized the Phasma Box and seemed to capture some audible responses while the Ovilus produced visible words. As we conducted our Phasma Box session, we captured a few oddities via the FLIR thermal image camera as well, in the form of a pair of feet standing next to Kara.

 

Photos:

• We captured what appeared to be cold footprints standing next to Kara as she sat on the floor utilizing the FLIR thermal camera.

 

 

• Again, with the FLIR thermal camera, and only moments later, the feet appeared to move to stand in front of Kara right in front of the table and disappeared from its prior location.

 

 

• As we peered down the hallway toward the Living Room, utilizing the FLIR thermal camera, it appears as though there was a figure standing behind Rachel who was sitting on the couch.

 

 

Recorder 1 – Phasma Box:

• After some slight silence, we heard “Balls of light” at :04 as if referring to the light anomalies they caught in their security footage.
• “Cabinet” was heard at :18 after we explained that the cabinets were open in the Kitchen and for them to move them.
• There was a knocking in the Kitchen around :25.
• “Jasper” was heard at :37. Jasper is the name of one of their cats.

• After we caught “Done with you” on the Ovilus, we asked them not to leave and at :04, we recorded “Let’s discuss.”
• “Deb,” the name of Kara’s mother, was heard at :18.
• We asked what they want to tell her, and at :55, we captured “There’s some other people.”

• After Cindy described the spirit as not hurtful just grumpy, we heard “Interesting” at :08.
• At :16, we captured “Expensive” and an inaudible noise at :24.
• “How can I thank you?” was heard at :29 and “Say again?” was asked at :37.
• The phrase “My name is…” was heard at :42 but trailed off.
• At :48, “Oh God” was heard then “Radio up” at :54.
• We asked if they were around 30 years old and, at 1:01, we heard “I’m well out of it.”

• He rejoined the group as we heard “Actually not bad” at :10 if referring to the cold.
• “Get started” was heard at :17.

• This was followed by a knocking in the Kitchen area around 2:25.
• “Jasper” was captured at 2:37. Jasper is the name of one of their cats.
• After we caught “Done with you” on the Ovilus, we begged them not to leave and at 2:54, we heard “Let’s discuss.”
• “Deb,” the name of Kara’s mother, was heard at 3:08.
• We asked what they wanted to tell her, and at 3:45, we recorded “There’s some other people.”

• We asked their age and if they were around the age of 30 and, at 6:56, we heard “I’m well out of it.”
• At 7:34 we captured the phrase of “Hi, Cindy.”
• Moments later, around 7:45, Derrick recorded a temperature of 58 degrees in the back bedroom.

• After momentary silence, we captured “Join me” at 10:54 and “Opposition” at 11:09.
• “Claire” was captured at 11:39 followed by “Chest” as if referring to Kara’s uncle who passed away from lung complications.
• The phrase “Lots of battles” was heard at 12:25 followed by what sounded like gun shots at 12:29.
• Less than a minute later, at 13:19, we captured “Lots of information.”
• “I’m coming” was heard at 13:24 followed by “Bitch” at 14:28.
• “Men” was captured at 14:41.
• After some silence, we asked if they could bring someone else in the room, and at 16:51, we heard “For what?” followed by a laugh at 17:12.
• “Hey Chester” was heard at 17:57, one of their former pets’ names.
• At 18:11, an off-putting word of “Electrocuted” was heard.
• As Cindy grew lightheaded, we heard laughter around 18:36.
• The phrase of “It was luck, blind” was recorded at 18:44.
• “Minutes that we have” was heard at 18:53.
• After we recorded “Numb” on the Ovilus, we asked if they can tell us why they are numb, to which we heard “No” at 19:31.
• We asked if they could turn the flashlight on and heard “Don’t want to” at 20:28.
• There was an odd knocking coming from down the hallway around 20:35.
• The name “Colin” appeared on the Ovilus around 22:03. Even though he’s on the other side of the family tree, Kara does have a cousin name Colin. A day after the investigation, we were informed that Colin woke up with a nightmare of an apparition even though he never remembers his dreams. Could there be any relation or is this just coincidence?

• The name “Colin” appeared on the Ovilus around 22:15. Even though he’s on the other side of the family tree, Kara does have a cousin name Colin. A day after the investigation, we were informed that Colin woke up with a nightmare of an apparition even though he never remembers his dreams. Hallway

As we attempted to follow some of the noises that we heard, this lead us toward the end of the hallway where Colby has heard the doors closing on their own while he’s out in the Living Room. From the first time around, we didn’t spend much time in this area aside from passing through and snapping some pictures looking in toward the Bedroom.

We began with the Spirit Box here but also attempted some flashlight sessions which proved successful. We did manage to pull a few words and phrases utilizing the Spirit Box but never got very far with answers via the flashlight.

 

Photos:

• We didn’t capture anything out of place in the normal photos but the FLIR infrared captured two separate anomalies.

 

 

• The first occurred as Derrick walked down the Hallway and was surprised by three dark shapes in the camera which dissipated just as quickly as they appeared. There’s no explanation for this.

 

 

• The other shot was taken looking at the desk which shows what appears to be a figure standing to the right of it.

• We heard some words starting with “Empty” at 3:26, “Wasted” at 3:32, and “Energy” at 3:38.
• As we continued, we heard “Crowded” at 4:13.
• At 4:59 we captured a phrase of “Murdered some” followed by “Trick” at 6:31 and “Idiot” at 6:38.
• At 7:25, we heard “Help.”

Bedroom

After the first investigation, we captured a few interesting thermal images here and Dan and Rachel were previously drawn to this spot. Nothing has seemingly happened here since but once again there seemed to be a pulling back to this spot.

 

 

After some flashlight communication in the Hallway, we continued onto the Bedroom rather quickly. Here, we recorded sessions utilizing both the Spirit Box and Phasma Box. We also had a few occurrences of flashlight communication and even more FLIR thermal image photos.

 

Photos:

• We didn’t capture any oddities in the normal photos but the FLIR infrared camera showed an intriguing outline of what appears to be a head and shoulders hovering above the bed.

• There were three more words produced via the Spirit Box: “Working” at :02, “Gabriel” at :28, and finally “Naomi” at 1:15.

• We began to capture full phrases beginning at :03 as they asked “What is this?” seemingly referring to the Phasma Box.
• After we asked if Naomi is still here, we heard “Yes” at :33.
• “We’re all here” was then heard almost as a follow up answer.

• At :04, we heard “Doesn’t really” followed by a phrase that trailed off but began with “The language is…” at :22.
• “Naomi” was heard again at :41 then a demand of “Out with you” at :45.

• As we began to get restless toward the end of the night, we heard “Wait” at :06 followed by “Religious” at :12.
• We explained that we want to know more and we recorded “We’ll stay in this room” at :14.
• “What happened?” was questioned at :16.
• After we asked where they think they are, we heard “Gravesite” at :28.
• “Can I ask you something?” came through after some silence at :45.
• At :50, we heard “Rachel, behind you.”
• After we asked what year it is, we heard “I don’t know” at :59.

Upon the completion of our analysis, from this second paranormal investigation, we feel as though this Cranberry Township Private Residence holds multiple spirits and some energy. The researching into Kara’s ancestry has seemed to stir the activity up, much like the last investigation. However, this time we believe we narrowed the list down convincingly to Naomi and another male entity. The energy in the apartment seems to move frequently from the Living Room to the Bedroom and Hallway and back to the Kitchen. The energy seems to have the ability to pull people in different directions and manipulate the surrounding environment like turning electronics on and off and moving cabinets and other items in the Kitchen. Their cats tend to have an uncanny ability to feel this energy and are even pulled out of their beds in the middle of the night to focus on this strange energy in the Living Room.

The majority of the communication we received and recorded was based mainly through the Phasma Box and the Spirit Box, however we did manage to capture the name “Naomi” through an EVP session. We managed to utilize the flashlight to attempt some communication but, even though it did light up quite frequently, we didn’t seem to get any straight answers out of it using a yes/no questioning technique.  We managed to take and record multiple images using the FLIR infrared camera in the Bedroom and the Living Room.

During our evening there, the most active locations were the Living Room and the Bedroom. We did also get some communication in the Kitchen and Hallway but very minor. In both the Living Room and Bedroom, we captured a few names relating to the spirit and their ancestors and even their cat’s name, “Jasper,” repeated to us. The name “Naomi” resurfaced from the previous investigation in both EVP and through our devices. In addition, there were some more recent names like “Claire,” Kara’s uncle who passed not too long ago, and “Deb,” Kara’s mother. It almost seemed like something was trying to prove that they are included in the family tree by mentioning those who are closer to Kara and even those she knows well.

The Hallway was not as active along the lines of communication but there were some odd sounds like banging scratching that sounded like they came from the end of the Hallway.

We can confidently conclude that this Cranberry Township Private Apartment does in fact hold at least one spirit of Naomi, but it’s more than likely that some energy given off and surrounding their ancestral research has pulled more than just her into the mix. By giving Kara some communication seemingly that Naomi wants her to keep digging and uncover more information relating to the family by utilizing our devices, we feel our investigation provided enough evidence to determine that their home is haunted by a friendly, guiding, protective spirit who is directly related to Kara’s bloodline.
